Firefighters swim four miles across Tor Bay for charity
Hardy firefighters took to the waves for a four-mile sea swim to raise money for colleagues in need.
The team swam from Brixham in South Devon to Torre Abbey Sands in Torquay, setting off at 9am on Saturday.

The swim, in aid of the Fire Fighters Charity, was originally pencilled in for mid August, but was postponed because of foul conditions. But firefighter Jason Tozer, based in Torquay, said conditions on Saturday were "perfect".
"It went very well," he said. "We did it in two hours and 58 minutes, which was much better than we expected. We had perfect sea conditions. It was really flat, with hardly any swell.

"We have been training a couple of times a week for the past month. We started out swimming in pools about three months ago, then we built up to sea swimming. It's very different. Obviously you're offshore and there's nothing to grab on to at any point."
Final figures are yet to be counted, but Mr Tozer hopes the team will have exceeded their target of raising £1,000. He thanked supporters, and particularly the kayakers and the crew of a safety boat who had to accompany them on the day for insurance purposes.
"The Fire Fighters Charity is close to most firefighters' hearts, because it helps bereaved families when firefighters die and it also helps to rehabilitate those who are injured."
