Firefighters tackle kitchen blaze in Plympton St Maurice

The Fire Service were called to a report of a fire at Springwood Close, Plympton St Maurice, at around 7:15pm on Saturday evening. Two fire appliances were mobilised to the incident.

Once in attendance crews located a fire in the downstairs kitchen. Crews used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel and a ventilation fan to extinguish the fire.

One person was reported to be suffering from smoke inhalation and was treated by ambulance crews.
