LOCAL singers One Accord are inviting potential new members to come to a free singers' workshop on Saturday, February 4, from 10.15am to 12.15pm at the University Centre, South Devon College.

The small, select group (pictured) sing a variety of music and include ensemble in four-part harmony, duets, trios, quartets and solos in their repertoire.

They have recently helped to raise more than £800 for the Royal British Legion and have also supported Rowcroft Hospice.

They are now preparing for a very busy year with several exciting performances already planned.

Chairman Paul Woodhouse said: "Although we want to keep our special identity, we do want to open our membership to include some new singers.

"We are holding the workshop so people who share our love of singing can come and meet us, see what we are all about and have some fun learning a new song and singing in harmony.

"Male and female singers are welcome to come, particularly men as they are always in short supply."
