GRITTERS will be out on the roads of South Devon tonight as temperatures plunge below zero again.

Weather forecasts suggest temperatures dropping to minus four in places tonight.

Torbay Council says it will be gritting primary routes tonight and checking 'wet spots' in the bay from 6.30pm and then again in the morning.

Devon County Council has also responded to the temperature drops in Teignbridge and the South Hams.

County teams will be out gritting roads on Devon's treatment network.

According to the Met Office the weather will stay mainly dry for a couple of days and will become colder.

Milder, wetter conditions are likely to arrive on Thursday night or Friday.
