BRIXHAM Harriers are offering a new beginners course, with the aim of working with budding runners slowly to build up their confidence.

The course will run on Tuesday evenings from 7-8pm starting on January 31 and is aimed at complete novices who are keen to get fit but might find the thought of joining a running club daunting.

The course is suitable for men and women of any age with sessions tailor-made to each individual, with support and advice from more experienced runners to help with motivation and endurance.

The club welcomes all abilities from social runners to those actively participating in races.

The club meets at the Admiral Swimming Pool, Ranscombe Rd, Brixham on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 7pm and Sunday mornings at 10.30am.

Tuesday evening sessions are targeted at mixed abilities. Thursday sessions are aimed at more experienced runners and Sunday mornings are generally used for distance training.

Initial sessions are free.
