The decision was made when the committee met last Wednesday. The budget for grants has been at a standstill for a number of years.

Historically groups and organisations such as Teignbridge Citizens Advice Bureau, Newton Abbot and District Society of Arts and Newton Abbot Community Transport have been given a funding boost each year from the committee.

At the meeting it recommended the organisations put forward for grants for 2012. Those will be discussed and decided at Newton Abbot council Finance and General Purposes Committee meeting on November 7.
