Hocking first back for SDAC
SIX South Devon Athletic Club racers took part in the Dawlish Dash.
Jeremy Hocking led them home in 11th place in 24.29 followed by Rob Leeke 12th in 24.34, Simon Johnson 15th, 25.04, Frank Reay 19th, 25.30, Marc Jones 41st, 27.44 and John Drennan 59th 30.02.
Vince Langdon bravely participated in the Wimbleball 70.3 Ironman on Exmoor on Sunday, described as one of the world's toughest 70.3 Ironman challenges.
It consists of a 1.2-mile open water swim, a 56 mile cycle ride and 13.1mile run, with the latter two disciplines requiring competitors to endure an inordinate amount of climbing. Langdone finished in an overall time of 6.26.52. swim time 43.21, bike time 4.20.43, run 2.00.56.

THREE training partners travelled to Clevedon to take part in the 10k which was also part of the Avon championships.
The weather on the night was perfect for running.
First back was Arran Tocknell (Torbay AC) in 33mins 46secs (8th) a pb by almost two minutes. Next was Russell Cleave (Torbay AC) 36mins 32secs (26th), despite suffering a cold, and finally in his first race since the London marathon V45 Neil Downer (South Devon AC ) in 40mins 30secs (74th). There were 361 finishers
