Hot ashes cause Ermington car fire
Fire crews were called to the village of Ermington, near Ivybridge, this afternoon to reports of a car fire.
On arrival at the scene at around 2.15pm they discovered a car well alight on a driveway close to a property.

The blaze was caused by hot ashes setting fire to a dustbin which then spread to the vehicle.
Firefighters extinguished the car using a hose reel jet.

Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service said: "The cause of the fire was hot ashes being placed next to a dustbin, which in turn was next to the car."
