Cameras have been given unrestricted access to the Grosvenor Hotel in Torquay, capturing the antics of staff and guests, with the accent on the eccentric.
An added twist in the current series is the purchase of the Grosvenor by Keith Richardson of The Grand, a story which first appeared in the Herald Express and thisissouthdevon last October but is still unfolding on-screen.

“According to someone on Trip Advisor who has stayed at the Hotel recently, the terrible three have now gone as Keith Richardson installs his own people to try and bring it up to standard. It may be that in later episodes in the present series they will get the push publicly, worth watching for that possibility alone.”

“This second series lacks any of the charm the first may have had, the cast are far more conscious of the cameras with Mark jenkins hamming it up dreadfully, christian, conscious that he looked a complete idiot last series far more subdued and the shouty receptionist louder and more vaccuous than ever.”

“I've been sucked into watching this, proper "car crash TV", you can't not look!
The most astounding part is how someone with zero managerial talent or skill ended up with three hotels! No wonder the country is in such a mess if the banks were funding this level of incompetence.”
