THEY say children keep you young, but not if they keep having children themselves.

Welcome Riley James, our fourth grandchild — yes, I know you find it hard to believe but it is our fourth.

came into the world last week weighing 7lb 2oz. He and precious mum, Kirsty, are both doing fine.

So, too, is hubbie Damon Calland, who was mapping out a cricketing career even before he made his entrance.

While Kirsty was going through the extremes of labour, he was looking through a cricket brochure choosing a bat and pads for his son — not knowing then it was going to be a boy, by the way.

I texted him to ask him how Kirsty was doing at one stage. He replied: "We are just entering the last 10 overs!"

Riley has no chance.
