Inter-Line among the South Devon Business Excellence Awards entries
FAMILY-OWNED building supplies company Inter-Line Building Supplies know the value of business excellence.
The company won the Winner of Winners Company of the Year award last year in the South Devon Business Excellence Awards but is not resting on its laurels this year.

As well as sponsoring the Best Social Enterprise and Community Impact Award category, Inter-Line has entered the Best Sales and Marketing category in the 2013 awards for which the entry date has now been put back to Tuesday, January 29.
Jason Winser, marketing manager of Inter-Line Building Supplies, which is based in Woodland Close, Old Woods Hill, Torquay, with branches in Paignton, Brixham, Totnes and Exeter, said the company prided itself on contributing to the community.

He said: "We have done everything from a competition for primary schools for Walk to School week giving out 850 high-visibility vests, to donating £10,000 to the RNLI last year for Torbay Lifeboat Week, and raising £6,500 through a sponsored kayak by our staff and some of our directors. We also supported Lupton House with their Winter Wonderland, as well as lots of local sports teams.
"We have been community conscious since we started as brand awareness comes through supporting local charities and a lot of individuals who are doing a lot of good stuff."
Mr Winser said they had entered the sales and marketing category having been runner-up for three years. They have also been runner-up in a national award and won the national independent builders' merchant website of the year.
"We are determined to win this year," he said.

The Herald Express South Devon Business Excellence Award winners will be announced at a prestigious ceremony on Friday March 15 at the Riviera International Conference Centre in Torquay.
