Jobs at risk as photo shop closes
THE Truprint store in Paignton is set to close on Saturday.
Newton Abbot-based company Harrier LLC said the decision is down to the changing face of photography.
Two permanent members of staff are currently in redundancy consultation.
A spokesman for the firm said: "In the last 10 years the photo market has changed dramatically.

"Photos which were previously taken using film are now taken digitally, meaning the photos are more accessible to customers so there is less requirement for printing, in particular, printing them fast which is what a retail store is able to provide.
"This change in customers' habits has meant that a shop for printing photos is less popular and many customers prefer to use the internet."
The store has been trading for eight years in Paignton and will not renew the lease.
Harrier LLC employs more than 150 people making photo prints and photo gifts for many large corporate customers within the UK.
The web-based operation offers the chance to create digital images, photo books, calendars, wall art and personalised greetings cards.
Truprint, a brand name of Harrier LLC, has shops in Torquay, Newton Abbot and Plymouth.

“reptor2456, were these comments really necessary? This is a business, with peoples livelihood. Paignton is a town with a community made up of a cross section of people, businesses and leisure facilities. Like everywhere else, it's a struggle to survive and prosper in times of recession. Comments like "Paignton is dead anyway thankfully" are both unhelpful, disingenuous, and frankly puerile.”
