The third-place play-off saw Brixham overwhelm Abbrook Park, who conceded after 12 ends with the scoreline at 36-9.

The final was a much closer game, with Neil Murgatroyd (The Den) facing Peter Collings (Marldon).

Collings' rink was just one shot up after 16 ends, while on the other rink, Marldon's Tony Powell was six shots up after five ends against Mike Evans. But The Den then staged a fightback to be one shot up after 10 ends and two up after 15 ends.

A three-shot count for Powell then put Marldon one up on the rink and two up overall.

But it was Evans who had the final say for The Den with a three and a five in the final two ends to go seven shots ahead on his rink. The final score was 35-28 to The Den.

Dale Carlton, O55s secretary, presided while chairman Trevor Norman presented the certificates and cups.
