Julieanne Fewings scooped two honours, winning both the Volunteer of the Year (Senior) award and also the Outstanding Contribution to Sport honour.
Fewings, from Newton Abbot, was stunned into silence as she collected her award from Britain's Number One Lady Pistol Shooter Georgina Geikie.
Fewings started Buckland and Milber Football Club in 2003 and was coach and manager to the U8s. She continued to manage and coach, taking on the U9s, U10s, U11s, U12s and U13s. During this time she has been secretary of the club until been voted on as chairperson in 2006. She has continued to expand the football club into a sports club, creating a dance group for three to 14 year olds which now boast up to 25 girls in weekly attendance. She has also established a cricket club offering training to children and adults in addition to a women's netball team with 14 members. She also managed to find the time to implement running after school sports clubs for local primary schools and running a local community fete.
Troy Culley was also a winner on the night, picking up the Coach of the Year (Youth) award, while Laura Tucker was Volunteer of the Year (Youth).
The Team of the Year award was won by Stoodley Knowle girls' cricket team, with Torbay Tigers U14s pipped into third place.
Jon and Becky Lees of TYGA Martial Arts were third in both the Coach of the Year (Senior) category and the Club of the Year section, while Holly Willing was runner-up in the Volunteer of the Year (Youth) category.
Rower Elliot Barton was runner-up in the Sports Performer of the Year category.
Active Devon Chief Executive Matt Evans said: "I know that London 2012 will provide many inspirational moments but what is just as important to me is the inspiration that we should all draw from the dedication and achievements of the nominees and finalists in this year's awards.
"It tells me that the sporting community in Devon is continuing to punch above its weight and it reassures me that by working together we can achieve our aim of everyone in Devon active for life."
