MILESTONE: American-born artist Katheryn Trenshaw who now lives in Totnes
Her latest work is In Your Own Skin, a multimedia community art project which is asking people from 40 countries to think of a word about themselves that wouldn't be apparent to others.
Katheryn paints this onto their skin and then creates a series of portrait photographs of them sharing their word.

A spokesman said: "Many subjects feel incredible release by exposing a hidden secret about themselves and the portraits will form the basis of touring photography exhibition, a book (part of a series of 3) and also a film to enable a wide audience to experience the happiness sharing inner truth brings."
Her first major exhibit, Breaking the Silence, used Raku, an ancient ceramic firing process, to create masks through which she explored the subject of child sexual abuse.
The exhibit received huge media coverage and toured internationally.
The October 18 event will also feature music, dancing and surprises including a 'friendly neighbourhood one-legged existentialist stand-up beat-poet'.
The fun starts at 7.30pm. For more information visit inyourownskin.org
