ADVERTORIAL FEATURE

As the blisteringly hot British summertime draws to its close, it’s time to start rooting through your cold weather clothing in order to keep warm during the chillier months. You might think that keeping warm means having to sacrifice a certain amount of style, and you could be forgiven for thinking so. After all, thermal vests aren’t exactly the makings of a high fashion outfit. However, luckily for you there are a huge number of designers including Missoni who know how have got knitwear down to a fine art.

Ponchos

Missoni are best known for their infamous range of luxurious knitwear. The fashion house may be based in a warmer part of the world than us Brits are, but somehow they have still managed to create pieces that stand up to the British weather. A poncho is a must have for the months to come. Throw it on over any outfit, and you instantly have a statement look that is both on trend and cosy.

Belted Coats

The problem with coats is that they so often cover up a perfectly put together outfit. However, Missoni’s winter collection features a huge number of longer coats that are worn with thin belts rather than buttoned up. Not only does the coat itself look wonderful, but there’s just a hint of that carefully considered ensemble visible underneath it as well. Can’t ask for more than that!

Scarves

Scarves are, of course, a winter necessity. However they needn’t look like your beloved grandmother made them from a 50-year-old knitting pattern. Missoni are well known for their use of vibrant colours and striking patterns, and their scarves are no exception. A good scarf can add a splash of colour to your outfit, as well as keep your neck safe from any blustering gales.

The Editeur are sad to see the end of the summer, but they’re excited to start lining their shelves with new collections. The Missoni range is just one of the many designer brands that the Chester based boutique stock, and will undoubtedly prove to be very popular once the temperatures start to decrease. The designer womenswear shop also stocks clothes from other brands such as Acne and Sam Edelman, as well as a number of sensational lingerie lines. If you’re looking to update your winter wardrobe, they would be more than happy to help prove to you that comfort and style can go hand in hand.
