A DOG called Scampi was dug out of a hole by firefighters yesterday morning.

Scampi was in woods near Collapit Bridge, Kingsbridge when he vanished down the rabbit hole.

Despite the efforts of his owner, he could not be reached, although he could be heard barking.

With the help of the fire crew, Scampi was dug out uninjured.
