A Paul Wotton penalty put the home side in front, and a second half goal by Jamie Lowry sealed the win for the Argyle second string.

The home side lost Tyler Harvey to an early injury, while Torquay had Lloyd Macklin and Kirtys MacKenzie booked in the closing stages.
