A MOVE to scrap a £50 parking permit 'perk' for Torbay councillors will be on the table tonight.
The full Torbay Council meets at Oldway Mansion from 5.30pm with a packed agenda.

Among the motions will be one from Labour councillor Darren Cowell to scrap the discount permit.
He also wants to see the council promote affordable parking permits for residents.

Among other items on the agenda, the council will be asked to back a nationwide living wage campaign, oppose regionalised public sector pay, pledge a fair deal on council tax and take steps to combat homophobic bullying.

“Is this what we pay Councillors for, writing notes on a phone or a tablet whilst at a live meeting, surely not?????
You can only do one thing at a time, they are participating at a meeting they should concentrate on that.
We are not interested in the photos of Cowell and Stringer, they reflect how sad the councillors are.”
