LIVE: Torbay Mayor's Forum
TORBAY Mayor Gordon Oliver welcomed more than 100 people to his Mayor's Forum event this evening.
Among the ideas for the regeneration of Torbay there was also some good-natured banter about the new palm tree at the gateway to Torquay.

“Totally agree realityzone regarding tweeting at such events, as the content of tweets depends on the person tweeting and not necessarily what actually happened on the day. For total transparency, such events should be broadcast live on Torbay Council's website, as should any other council meeting open to members of the public. It isn't rocket science and would certainly allow councilors to be held to account.”

“Its The Mayor's forum but the Mayor is not in the picture? and, no thanks, I don't want to follow the twits on twitter. Is it too much to hope that we might get a decent piece of well balanced journalism covering the event?”
