Leaders feel heat as draw lets chasers close the gap

ST Anne's A had their lead at the of the Premier Division cut to a single point as they drew 3-3 with bottom-of-the-table Dawlish Conservative A, for whom Andy Hill had breaks of 35 and 39 in the second frame.

Crispin Halloran and Bill Watson won the final two frames of the evening to earn a deserved draw as they battled back from 3-1 down.

Andy Neck compiled an 82 clearance in the opening frame, whilst Wes Peters scored a break of 30 in the fifth, as second-placed Riley's A won the final two frames to beat St Anne's Q 4-2 to move within a point of the leaders.

James Lee had breaks of 34 and 54 as Preston Cue A moved up a place to third by beating Preston Cue G 5-1, who slipped to ninth after the defeat.

Riley's Q erratic form continued, despite Ed Armitage's break of 30, as they went down 4-2 to sixth-placed Upton Social A.

St Anne's E stayed in fifth place, despite suffering their fourth defeat of the season as they went down 4-2 to Brixham Conservative A, who moved up to eighth place after a run of three games without a defeat.

Steve Beer compiled a break of 30 in the fifth frame of Mid-Devon Constitutional Club A's 3-3 draw with 11th-placed Torquay Squash A.

DIVISION ONE

LEADERS Riley's E had their lead at the top cut to five points despite breaks of 30 from Ray Little, and a break of 24 from Chris Hobson as they came from 3-1 down to earn a 3-3 draw with 10th-placed Torre Conservative A.

Second-placed St Marychurch Conservative A closed the gap on the leaders as they beat eighth-placed Brixham Conservative C 4-2.

Keith Doidge compiled a break of 30 in the third frame, Hookhills A slipped further from the promotion places as they let slip a 3-1 lead to draw 3-3 with sixth-placed Brixham British Legion B, who battled back to record their fifth draw of the season.

Preston Conservatives closed the gap on the teams above, as they trounced bottom side Preston Conservative C 6-0, to leave them seven points adrift at the bottom of the table.

Nicholas Johns scored a break of 35 in the fourth frame of fifth-placed St Anne's D 6-0 hammering of ninth-placed Teignmouth Royal British Legion A, who find themselves slipping ever closer to the relegation places.

Torquay Squash C moved up a couple of places to seventh, as they won the final frame to earn a 3-3 draw with 11th-placed Torquay Squash D.

DIVISION TWO

RILEY'S C had their lead at the top cut to five points as they went down 3-2 to seventh-placedSt Anne's C.

Second-placed Mid-Devon Constitutional Z closed the gap to the leaders as they came back from losing the opening frame to beat eighth-placed Torquay Squash B 3-2.

Riley's Z moved up to third place as they overwhelmed 10th-placed Kirkham Street A 5-0.

Brixham Royal British Legion A slipped to fourth despite beating bottom-of-the-table Torquay Squash E 4-1, who are nine points adrift at the bottom of the table.

Preston Cue E stayed in fifth place as they beat 11th-placedTorwood Conservative A 4-1, whilst Palace Place B stayed in sixth place, as they bounced back from losing the opening frame to beat ninth-placedBrixham Conservative B 3-2.

DIVISION THREE

PRESTON Cue W stretched their unbeaten run to 12 matches as they opened up a nine-point advantage over the chasing pack, as Al Folloni compiled a break of 34 in the opening frame of their 5-0 drubbing of Torbay Royal Yacht Club A, who sank to the bottom of the table after the defeat.

Preston Cue C moved up a couple of places to second as they came from 2-1 down to beat 10th--placedTorwood Conservative B 3-2.

Dean Sherman potted a break of 24 in the third, but could not stop his side Hookhills B slipping to third place as they went down 3-2 to Roundham B, who moved off the bottom of the table.

Keith Williams scored breaks of 24 and 22 in the third frame for fourth-placed Brixham Conservative D, but saw his side slip to their fifth defeat of the season as they went down 3-2 to sixth-placed St Marychurch Conservative B.

Preston Cue H stayed in fifth place, but moved into the hunt for the promotion places as they hammered Teignmouth Royal British Legion B 5-0, who slipped a couple of places to ninth.

Ellacombe Conservative C moved up to seventh as they won the final frame to beat eighth-placedPreston Cue D 3-2.
