League Two set to be one of most open promotion contests yet
Fifteen points out of a possible 33 may not be quite the sort of return that Torquay United fans were hoping for at the start of the season, and even manager Martin Ling and his players probably aimed for a little bit better.
But the Gulls are still in 11th place, only three points off the play-offs, going into this afternoon's home game against Accrington Stanley.
It is also worth having a look at some of the teams below them in the League Two table.
Southend United, Chesterfield, Northampton Town, Oxford United, Bristol Rovers were all strongly tipped at the start of the season to be among the promotion contenders, and none of them have yet flirted with top gear, let alone overdrive.

Nobody can really argue with the form shown by the top two, Gillingham and Port Vale, and they may keep it up. Who knows?
The Gills are riding high with a new look in both management (Martin Allen) and dressing-room, while Vale are doing remarkably well under Micky Adams considering they are still in administration and have little scope to bolster a tight squad.
But, interestingly, Torquay have already earned draws away to Vale (second) and Fleetwood (third), at home to Cheltenham (fourth) and Burton Albion (seventh), and thumped Rochdale (fifth), who ended Gillingham's unbeaten home record a fortnight ago.
United have proved hard to beat so far, even if they have been inconsistent as an attacking force.
But the whole division still has an uncertain, volatile feel to it, with nobody particularly surprised at any of the results it is currently throwing up. Today for instance, would anyone care to predict, with any confidence, the outcomes of AFC Wimbledon v Cheltenham, Burton v Bristol Rovers, Northampton v Exeter or Rotherham v Southend? Or, for that matter, Torquay v Accrington?
League Two this season may well turn out to be one of the most open for years.
It still feels like very early days.

WELL,
We got the perfect start, when a ball to hand incident, gave us a Penalty !within the first
5 minutes .
Rene stepped up to take it , sending the Keeps the wrong way, great start, good to get
something from the officials .
Stanley poured forward in search of a goal themselves, with there manager on the touch-line
screaming them on !
This led to a lot of counter-attacks, where we were one on one with their Keeper .
We brought some outstanding saves from him, but had to be upset that we missed so many clear chances.
HOWEVER, getting in at half-time with a slight lead, was essential .
Second-half, attacking the Family Stand, still more chance, Bodin,Howe, Mansell,
all must have been amazed that the keeper kept out their close-range shots .
Then they score! & start looking like they are bossing the game .
Again in a matter of a few minutes, Bodin scores a glancing header, 2-1 from a great delivery
from the Pop Side .
Then pouring forward like Custard, Torquay swamp the Stanley goal , missing chance after
chance, one-on-ones, open goals, great saves!
However into the last ten minutes, Manse heads one in from a corner, 3-1, game over 3 points
Overall I thought Rene Howe, was superb at holding the ball, laying it off, & grappling for
scraps, & there centre-halves got battered as usual .
