IT HAS been a good year so far for Bay magic man Stephen Karl.

Stephen has been performing professionally for the past seven years and is now based back in South Devon after seeing success in Los Angeles.

Time in America included performing for celebrity clients at high-end venues including the Magic Castle and Chateau Marmont.

The Santa Monica restaurant Hidden where he was house magician was formerly owned by Arnold Schwarzenegger.

This summer Stephen has just scooped the Riviera Circle of Magicians' card magician of the year title.

It comes having already won the group's close-up magician of the year title last year.
