TORQUAY Town Hall has been turned into a bank for a TV show bringing a West Country writer's books to life.

German film company FFP New Media filmed the outside of the town hall on Friday morning.

It will pass as R&S Investment Bank for TV adaptations of Rosamunde Pilcher's books.

Actors and crew have been setting up at various locations in the Bay including the harbourside and Oldway Mansion.

Tourism bosses have been working with the crew to find suitable locations.

It is expected the filming will raise the profile of South Devon abroad and bring in more tourists to the area.
