GOOD news for Lemonfest and Chagstock, two South Devon summer music festivals which are up for top awards.

Lemonfest, the summer event which brings top bands and big crowds to Newton Abbot Racecourse each July, has been nominated at this year's UK Festival Awards in three categories.

Lemonfest is up for Best Small Festival, Best Family Festival and Best Grass Roots Festival.

Organiser Matt Freemantle said: "We are in some pretty good company, including the likes of Camp Bestival, The Hackney Weekend and End of the Road.

The festival at Whiddon Down, which was this year headlined by the Fun Lovin' Criminals, is nominated for Best Small Festival, Best Family Festival....and Best Toilets.
