Male choir returning to Bay to perform with Riviera Concert Brass in aid of charity
THE Ynysowen Male Choir from Aberfan, South Wales, is returning to Torquay.
It will be performing on Saturday with Riviera Concert Brass in aid of Cancer Research UK.

IN CONCERT: The Ynysowen Male Choir
Formed in 1968 with only 11 choristers, members' enthusiasm generated a great deal of interest in Aberfan resulting in a membership of more than 40 choristers with a repertoire of more than 200 musical pieces.
Musical director Jennifer Jones has been with the choir since 1992, a graduate of The Royal Academy of Music London.

She has taught harp at schools throughout Mid Glamorgan and is guest tutor of harp with the National Children's Orchestra of Great Britain.
Accompanist Sheryl Kennedy joined the choir in 2000.
She studied at the Welsh College of Music and Kings College London. She has taught music, English and drama in Singapore before qualifying as a teacher prior to returning to Cardiff and has also taught in Southampton and Portsmouth.
The choir has toured extensively, performed before the Queen, appeared several times on television, toured in the UK and its links with Gutersloh in Germany have resulted in several tours and reciprocal visits to the Gutersloh Male Choir as well as touring Ireland, Spain and France.
