Man charged with assault at South Devon Railway
A 20-YEAR-OLD man from Buckfastleigh has been charged with assault with intent to resist arrest following an incident near Totnes on January 2, 2013.
A statement released by Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Officers were called to Staverton Railway Station at lunchtime that day following a report that a man assaulted a member of the railway staff. He was held at the scene until police arrived.
"Christopher Margrie was arrested by police and subsequently interviewed. He was interviewed and before also being charged with criminal damage to a number of carriage windows.
"He will appear before South and West Devon Magistrates on 17 January 2013. The damage has an estimated cost of £1,000."
