Man's body recovered from sunken fishing boat off Brixham

THE body of a man has been recovered from the wreck of a fishing boat off Brixham.

At approximately 2pm yesterday the body was recovered from the wreck of the sunken Sarah Jayne by divers.

The vessel sank on September 12 while fishing off Berry Head.

The skipper of the vessel, Geoff Ingram, has been missing since the incident while two crew members were rescued at the scene.

The coroner is due to open an inquest and the family of the missing man have been informed. The body has not been officially identified.

The incident is still being investigated by the Marine Accident Investigation Branch.

The vessel is currently lying six miles off the coast of Brixham.
