McArthur drops 87 break but Paignton only draw
LEE McArthur junior started the season in good form, as he compiled an exhilarating break of 87 in the third frame of Paignton Club's 3-3 draw against Brixham Conservative A.
Newly promoted St Marychurch Conservative E (formerly Riley's E) got their season off to the perfect start as Ray Little scored a break of 29 and Lewis Colclough one of 24 in their 6-0 demolition.
Job on St Marychurch Conservative A, who had Pete Lewis had a break of 27 in the third frame.
Andy Neck potted breaks of 80 and 44, and Craig Gayler scored a break of 34 and a 27 clearance, as Riley's A beat Preston Cue A 5-1. Chay Mearns won Cue A's only frame to avoid the whitewash.

Champions St Anne's A suffered defeat in their opening match of the season. Despite breaks of 40 from Jason Whittaker and John Halliwell, they went down 4-2 to St Anne's Q.
Martin Makinen was on top form as he hit breaks of 52 and 49 to lead his team to victory.
Brian Milden used all his experience to score a break of 30, but saw his side St Anne's E slip to a 4-2 defeat to Preston Cue G, who continued their run of recent good form.
Upton Social start their season this week.

PRESTON Conservative A are the early leaders as Bradley Kenney scored a break of 37 in the final frame of a 4-2 win over Brixham Sea Anglers B, for whom Mike Heather scored a 22 clearance to win one of their frames.
Sam Northcott scored two 22 clearances to win both her frames, as she led Teignmouth RBL A to a 4-2 win over Brixham Conservatives C.
Torquay Squash D recorded a win in their first match of the season, but had to come from 2-0 down to beat Hookhills A 4-2, whilst Torre Conservative A returned to winning ways, as they beat relegated Torquay Squash A 4-2.
Leigh Charles scored a 25 clearance in the second frame of Torquay Squash C's 3-3 draw with St Anne's D in a close match in which either side could have won. St Anne's B had a free week.

PRESTON Cue E got off to the perfect start and lead the pack by a point as Shawn Attwood scored a break of 24 in their 5-0 hammering of Kirkham A.
Brixham Sea Anglers A started their season with a 4-1 win over relegated Preston Conservative C, for whom Brian Woods won their only frame to avoid a complete disaster.
Torquay Squash B started their season off with a 4-1 win at Mid Devon Constitutional Z, with Jamie Pearce winning Z's only frame on the black. Brixham Conservatives B started their season with a 3-2 win over Palace Place B.
Newly promoted Brixham Conservatives D started their season off with a win, as they came from 2-1 down to beat new boys Totnes Conservative B 3-2
The other promoted team, Preston Cue W, also got their season off to a good start, as they won the final frame to beat Kirkham Street B 3-2.

PRESTON Cue H started their season off with a 4-1 win over Preston Cue D.
Riley's D beat tenth-placed Preston Cue B 4-1. Andy Morrison won Preston's only frame to avoid the whitewash.
The Royal Torbay Yacht Club A beat Teignmouth RBL B 4-1. Steve Vercoe won the Legion's only frame, while Preston Cue C started their season with a 3-2 win over eighth placed Hookhills B.
St Marychurch Conservative B got their season off to a good start, as they came from 2-0 down to beat ninth-placed Roundham B, while Torwood Conservative A came from 2-1 down to beat Ellacombe Conservative C 3-2.
