Mobile library to expand services in the South Hams
SOUTH Hams residents using Devon County Council's mobile library services will be able to get more than just books when they pay a visit.
As part of a pilot scheme aimed at delivering frontline services direct to local communities, a South Hams Connect advisor will be travelling with the library van to offer information and advice on a range of public services.

South Hams District Council, which co-ordinates the Connect Service, is working with the mobile library service to offer this new project.
Connect also works with a variety of partner organisations including Action on Hearing Loss, Citizens Advice Bureau, Devon Carers, Devon Wheels 2 Work plus many more.
A connect advisor will be travelling with the mobile library over selected dates from March to the end of July.
So far sessions are planned for March 4, 2013 visiting Lee Mill (Bridge) 9.30am-10am, Newton Ferrers (Yealm Road)10.30am-12.30pm, Noss Mayo (Tennis Courts) 1.30pm-3pm, Battisborough Cross (The Old Post Office) 3.10pm-3.40pm and Holbeton (Village Hall) 3.50pm-4.35pm.
A Connect advisor will also be with the mobile library on March 15, 2013 at Woolwell Shopping Parade from 9.15am to 11.15am.
