Music chain forced to close its Bay store
MUSIC chain HMV is to close its Torquay store in Union Street following an announcement that the company would shut a further 37 stores in the UK.
Administrators working for HMV have already said 66 stores are to go.
A second round of closures could put some 464 jobs at risk.
No fixed closure date has been set for the latest stores, which will continue to trade in the meantime.

However, it is expected closures will take place over the next four to six weeks in line with the 66 stores already identified for closure.
Nick Edwards, joint administrator, said: "This step has been taken in order to enhance the prospects of the restructured business continuing as a going concern.
"Together with the previously identified 66 closures, this restructuring will result in a residual portfolio of some 116 stores."
Administrators were called in to HMV on January 15.
