ANOTHER NIGHT FIRING ON ALL CYLINDERS FOR JOEY
JOEY THE LIPS are returning to Babbacombe Theatre for one night only as they celebrate 14 years on the road.
Originally formed as a soul outfit, the band is best described now as a soul, blues, funk outfit with a bit of disco, Motown and rock thrown in.

Their current set includes classic soul numbers such as Otis Redding's Try a Little Tenderness and Aretha Franklin's Think. Other renditions include Queen's Don't Stop Me Now and B52's Love Shack.
The band have appeared on BBC1 featuring a medley performed with Atomic Kitten and Martine McCutcheon for Children in Need in 2000.
They also featured as the resident band on Carlton TV's Langsford Late show and recorded a BBC promotional video on the set of Noel Edmonds' House Party.
They have performed and recorded with Geno Washington, Tony Hadley of Spandau Ballet, M People, Eurythmics, Lisa Stansfield and saxophonist Snake Davis.
The band's CD, Firing On All Cylinders, features 16 live tracks.
Jimmy Alderson shares lead vocals with Naomi Tanton and Kat Savage.
The rhythm section is driven by drummer Adam Waller while guitar pro Steve Hood sets the audiences alight with his fiery lead breaks.
Ex-session man Simon Westaway is on bass and Steve Northcott on keyboards. John George is on tenor sax, Jamie Dove on trombone and Robbie Rogers on trumpet.
The band are performing tomorrow at 8pm.
