New charity unit offers puppy love
THESE three pups will soon have a new home once Ipplepen-based charity Animals in Distress completes its new puppy care unit.
Building work has now started on the unit, planned to improve the facilities for the nursing and care of mums and pups.

Some dogs are unwanted, some have been abandoned and others arrive at the centre needing round-the-clock nursing.
The new facility will have a puppy care unit, as well as two 'quiet' kennels for dogs which can't cope with being in the main kennel block.
There will also be two more kennels for dogs recovering from surgery and a room especially for socialising and assessing dogs in a home environment.
Simon Veasey, from the Animals in Distress Rescue Centre, said: "The charity has already received legacies towards building the unit and fundraising is still taking place for this exciting project.
"The Buy a Brick appeal has been very successful with supporters purchasing a brick for £5 each. Their names will be on a roll of honour in the new unit."
The project is due for completion at the end of July.
