A SERIES of events are being added to Torquay's Cockington Court calendar this year.

It comes as £50,000 of improvement works is carried out.

Steve Parrock, chief executive of Torbay Development Agency which runs the court and the new craft units, said the events programme was very important to raising the profile of the centre and supporting the many businesses located within the craft studios and offices.

Among the dates in the diary this year is a traditional Easter fun day, with an Easter egg hunt, a fashion show with South Devon College at the end of May, and outdoor theatre performances.

In June, South Devon College will be staging drama performances and music at the court.

Cockington Fayre will take place, as usual, in August.

The court will be hosting a murder mystery trail, family events and vintage cars in September and Halloween will also be celebrated in spooky style while the Christmas event will be bigger than last year.
