NEW plans for Torquay's multi-million pound Torwood Street development are going on show next week.

Developers New Riviera Estates says it hopes to have a new revised application ready for re-submission to planners for its three to four star hotel, apartments, gym, offices, shops and restaurants complex by the end of the month. An exhibition of the plans is being held on Friday, February 15.

Peter Tisdale, of New Riviera Estates Ltd, said: "The re-submission involves minor design changes required to meet the needs of the hotel operator involved with the scheme, whom we expect to be able to confirm publicly in the next few weeks. The amendments are required to bring forward a viable scheme.

"We are confident these amendments will not be considered controversial or in any way detrimental to the scheme when compared with the original planning consent."
