A PAIGNTON-BASED steel stockholder has taken its business nationwide with the launch of an online shop.

Austen Knapman Ltd. is a small, family-run business established 15 years ago which specialises in providing small quantities of steel to the trade and public.

Due to an increase in demand from customers nationwide Steve Knapman, who doubles as MD and sales director, decided to launch

to provide a service to customers unable to visit the company's Yalberton Industrial Estate headquarters or covered by its regular delivery service.

THe site was designed by Danny Corder, managing director of Torquay-he based IT company ETL.

Steve says the aim of the site is to enable customers at residential addresses to order their steel online in small quantities, with no minimum order charge and with delivery direct to their door.

Orders are dealt with between 8am-5pm Monday-Friday and the company aims to send them out within 24 hours of receiving payment (subject to stock).
