News from Ellacombe and Plainmoor
ELLACOMBE Community Partnership in partnership with the Acorn Centre Barton are currently in the process of recruiting two youth workers and a community engagement youth worker for Ellacombe, due to their successful application for funding from the Torbay Youth Fund.

The two youth workers would be required to work two three hour sessions per week to be confirmed. Youth work experience is required.

IN Plainmoor, local resident Ken Stone hopes to be in top form as Rocking Ken for a variety of charity events happening in the future.
Ken will be rocking among other singers lending their support to Torbay Prostate Cancer Association at the George Inn, Babbacombe on Friday March 29 and hopes you will join them.
Chairman of the Torbay Prostate Cancer Association (www.tpsa.org.uk) Peter Hosking will be attending the event, which starts at 7.30pm for 8pm. Free entry, donations welcome.
Singers for the event include Jim Hopkinson, Kathleen, Dave Clements, Rocking Ken, Barry, Eddie Beaumont and Tony 'Spinner' Pearn, Britain's Got Talent singing sensation who made it through the second round of the country's biggest TV talent competition after cartwheeling and singing in front of millions of viewers on national television in 2010.
Rocking Ken will also be singing at Brixham Theatre on Friday April 12, starting at 7.30pm at the BATS Aloud Gala Concert set to raise money for Brixham Theatre with fellow musicians 6T Plus, Martyn Paddon, Rebecca Clifton, Alison and Mike Bradley and compere Jim Hopkinson.
