Nicky Swann in Newton Abbot Homecoming gig to celebrate album launch
SINGER/songwriter Nicky Swann (pictured) has been planning her album launch gig for a very long time.
All that planning finally comes to fruition in the Bradley suite at the Jolly Farmer in Newton Abbot tomorrow night.

The Nicky Swann Trio will be playing the special homecoming gig to celebrate the launch of Nicky's most recent album, How Does your Land?, which is a collection of songs inspired by the people and the history of Newton Abbot.
Support comes from guitarist POM, and Newton Abbot Museum curator Felicity Cole will be giving an introduction.

LOCAL Celtic footstompers Paddy's Whiskers are playing a couple of special St Patrick's Day parties this weekend. Tomorrow they will be at the Dartmoor Halfway Inn, Bickington, and on Saturday they appear at the Snooty Fox, St Marychurch, Torquay.
Both gigs start at 8.30pm and entrance is free.
Andrew from the band said: "Paddy's Whiskers music is mainly Irish and Scottish with a few American Old Time and Bluegrass numbers thrown in.
"We play traditional music in our own modern contemporary party style — lots of well known and more unusual songs along with uptempo jigs and reels to get everybody dancing."
Andrew (AKA DJ Re-Jig) will also be warming up the crowd pre-gig and playing some proper Paddy's Day tunes at the end of the night to keep the party rolling.
HIGHLY-regarded Bristolian jazzy post-rockers Get The Blassing, who recently released their third album OC DC, play at the Exeter Phoenix tonight.
Also on the bill, which is part of the Exeter Vibraphonic Festival, are the Mercury-nominated Roller Trio.
ACOUSTIC folk duo Fly Yeti Fly are in concert at Hazelwood House in Loddiswell on Wednesday night.
The south west outfit have a style which continues the long-standing tradition of musicians such Simon and Garfunkel, Stills and Nash, Cat Stevens and Joni Mitchell.
