OUTDOOR opera will be performed at Torre Abbey Gardens this month.

Friends of Torre Abbey and Rowcroft Hospice are welcoming the return of the highly-acclaimed Garden Opera Company with their production of The Barber of Seville.

Dodgy magicians, camp hairdressers and damsels in distress cavort together in this enchanting and hilarious production.

Rossini's effervescent music will charm audiences while enjoying a picnic in the grounds.

The production is sponsored by Newcross Healthcare Solutions and is raising funds for both the Friends of Torre Abbey and Rowcroft Hospice.

The concert starts at 6.30pm on Saturday, July 18 and tickets are available from Torquay Tourist Information Centre on 01803 211211.

Tickets are £21 each and a family ticket, which comprises two adults and two under 18s, costs £42.

The gardens will open from 5pm for those who want to bring a picnic.
