Open space to be sold off by tender
TORBAY Council is seeking objections to the sale of a small parcel of land in Shiphay, Torquay.
The sale of around 237 square metres of open space adjoining 23 Raleigh Avenue was agreed by Torbay mayor Nick Bye at a cabinet meeting in June last year.

The council says it was agreed, as there was no adverse feedback from proposals submitted to ward councillors and community partnership, the site containing approximately 0.08 acres of land, would no longer be required.
The decision was taken subject to any interest received under both the council's Community Asset Transfer Policy 2008, and the requirements of the Local Government Act.
This site is being sold by tender and is part of the asset programme intended to dispose of underused or surplus property.
A council spokesman said: "We have taken the opportunity to advertise the proposed disposal as required under the above Local Government Act."
This means the council has to tell the public of its intention and consider any objections which must be received by Saturday.
