Orchestra's spring concert
THE Newton Abbot Orchestra is to follow up the successful sell-out Christmas performance featuring the Military Wives Choir with a spring concert.
Conducted by Rob Young, the orchestra will return to Hannahs at Seale-Hayne, Newton Abbot, with a concert of light classical music on March 22.
Highlights of the evening will include Schumann's Piano Concerto in A Minor and soloist Duncan Honeybourne, who is a highly regarded pianist and chamber musician.
He has also become well-known nationwide as a thought-provoking and entertaining lecturer on his experiences of life on the autistic spectrum.

The programme will also include the Overture to the Marriage of Figaro by Mozart, Siegfried Idyll by Wagner and the Petit Suite De Concert by Coleridge Taylor.
It takes place in the Great Hall and starts at 7.30pm.
