PICTURES: Cockington Apple Day proves to be a juicy treat
A RARE day of pure autumn sunshine warmed the atmosphere for the 20th Apple Day at Cockington Court.
Almost 3,500 visitors flocked to the court making it one of the busiest ever for the organisers, environmental charity Torbay Coast and Countryside Trust.
They said the annual event was another success.
Rachel Vallance, for the trust, said: "There was a great atmosphere, helped by the wonderful sunshine we enjoyed for the best part of the day.

"Despite a smaller apple harvest in our orchards this year, we pressed around two and a half tonnes into juice for visitors to take home and our clay oven was popular throughout the day with families making apple pittas.
"Almost 50 food, drink and craft stallholders enjoyed the event too — several selling out by the end."
