PICTURES: A close shave as South Devon does its bit for BBC Children in Need
FROM cakes sales to sponsored swims, fancy dress costumes to 'hula-hoopathons', South Devon has raised thousands of pounds for Children in Need.
Events took place throughout the weekend for the annual BBC event.

Every pupil at Canada Hill Primary School hula-hooped for 10 minutes to raise money and help other children.
Headteacher Delphine Knott said: "They can be very proud of their achievements, both in raising a significant amount of money and taking responsibility for running the event."

A Children in Need fundraiser at the Union Square shopping centre in Torquay saw shop staff and centre management in fancy dress, pyjamas and spots. Shoppers donated money and bought raffle tickets from Shauls the bakers to win a host of fantastic prizes donated by the shops in the centre. In Torquay, 10-year-old Isaac Bell-Hunter had his head shaved and at Ilsington Primary School students came dressed as super heroes.
Georgia Bennett, Kiesha Turner, Sophie Jackson and Tamla Stevens took to the chilly seas of Paignton to raise cash and at B&Q in Newton Abbot staff dressed up for the day.
On Friday donors pledged £26,757,446 during the seven-hour live show, but the amount is set to rise in the coming weeks.
