Paignton Zoo's gorillas in the mist
GORILLAS in the mist were riding ferries in foggy Torbay yesterday.
Paignton Zoo launched its Great Gorillas Project to mark the zoo's 90th anniversary next year — and a host of life-size model gorillas will be painted up to create a unique art trail around the Bay.

ART: Hayley Gibson from Paignton Zoo with some of the gorillas which will feature in the new art trail
Businesses and groups will be able to sponsor a gorilla and choose its colour scheme for artists.
Phil Knowling, from Paignton Zoo, said: "They are going to look amazing. They are life size and are three dimensional canvases which will all become individual works of art."

“When we had this Bristol, and is was very popular. I hope it proves just as successful in Torquay as it was up here. Check out the Bristol Zoo page here http://tinyurl.com/66995pl”

“If these gorillas are "life size" then Haley Gibson (in the picture) must be tiny!!”
