Paignton flat severely damaged in fire
Two fire appliances from Paignton were mobilised to a building fire in a block of flats at Clovelly Rise, Paignton, at around 5pm on Saturday afternoon. Due to the number of calls and information received, Fire Control mobilised a third appliance from Torquay. Crews arrived on scene and confirmed smoke issuing from the property.
At 17:21 hours, crews confirmed this was a domestic two storey property, with the ground floor well alight. Crews also stated there could be persons still inside the property. Crews got to work with two breathing apparatus wearers and one hose jet. Ambulance, Police and the Red Cross Fire and Emergency Support Service were also requested to attend.
