SIX PUPILS from Paignton Community and Sports College have been chosen to volunteer at the Sainsbury's 2012 Schools Games.

The four-day event in early May held at the newly finished London Olympic venues, including the Velodrome Aquatic Centre and the main Stadium itself, required volunteers and Paignton was one of only 12 schools chosen to provide them.

After the interview process, 21 pupils became the final six who will go to see the talented school age athletes from England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland compete against each other.

They are Year 12s Ollie Cleevely and Sarah Stacey, Zac Baggott and Arron Coombes of Year 11 and Year 10s Ben Reeves and Ali Northcott.

Principal Jane English was satisfied with the completed group to represent the college at the games.

"I know the six we have chosen will be a real credit to us and make the most of this opportunity," she said.
