"With the demise of Waterstones in Torquay and the sad news of the impending closure of HMV, we are seeing many customers from Torquay making use of our next-day service for books, CDs and DVDs."

At present, Paignton is seeing more openings than closures in the high street with 10 shops opening in Crossways in recent months, plus a number of shops re-siting to larger premises and a couple of popular high street brands opening in the next months.

Matthew added: "We continue to provide professional efficient service which is being recognised by our industry.

"In the next couple of weeks, we will soon be announcing a further addition to our business which will drive increased footfall into our shop and through the town."
