Paignton seafront Geoplay Park flooding work to begin
Improvement works aimed at preventing further flooding at Paignton's seafront Geoplay Park were due to start today.
The play park was installed by Kompan last year.

However, its location below sea level combined with the particularly wet weather of late has resulted in flooding of some areas.
The council has been working with Kompan on a solution which will involve breaking up the compacted ground, improving ground drainage using a crate like system, increasing the ground level and installing matting.

“I wonder who is paying for this? The council, ward partnership and all were given detailed information before this was built that it would flood on a regular basis. I trust this remedial work is being done at no cost to the council taxpayers who explained how and when this would happen before the park was built.”
