DUE to the adverse weather conditions resulting in many temporary greens and a ban on trolleys, Teignmouth's ladies were unable to play their designated Daily Mail Foursomes competition.

Instead those feeling brave enough donned their wet gear and played an individual stableford over 12 holes and, despite the weather, some very creditable scores were returned.

Sam Rogers won Division One with 22 points on countback from Janet Turner and Rosemary Watson.

In Division Two, Diane Chubb won with 25 points on countback from Gill Lewis in second and Rosie Burnhan in third with 24 points.

Jenny Penman topped Division Three with an amazing 33 points, beating Jean Stell who had a very good 26 points.

The ladies were in celebratory mood as they held their annual prize-giving dinner.

This was a most enjoyable event for all and gave an opportunity for everyone to get together and join in with congratulations for the year's winners.

The Victrix Ludorum Cup was won by past captain Vicky Holloway and the Most Improved Golfer Trophy was won by Leah Roelich.
