People have say on Bovey Tracey land's future
RESIDENTS have been having their say on the future of community land in Bovey Tracey.
Around 300 people went along to a consultation event on land which runs alongside Le Molay-Littry Way on Saturday.
The public consultation, which was overseen for the town council by the independent Rural Community Council for Devon, took place at Bovey Tracey Methodist Church Hall.
The aim was to find out what residents want to happen to the fields in the future.

Options short-listed include a supermarket, allotments and a school.
Last year it was revealed through emails obtained under the Freedom of Information Act that Bovey Tracey Town Council had been in contact with Storegap, an agency acting on behalf of Sainsbury's about the possibility of siting a supermarket there.
A campaign to stop the development attracted mass support from residents and earlier this year, the town council said the public should be asked their opinion.
Bovey Tracey mayor Cllr Anna Klinkenberg said she was pleased at the response on Saturday.
"We had more residents attend than what we thought, it was extremely busy," she said.
"They didn't give much away as to what they think would be the best project for the land."
To coincide with the consultation, a questionnaire has also been sent to all householders in the parish of Bovey Tracey and Heathfield to get their views.
The closing date for submitting questionnaires is October 31.
Completed surveys can be taken to various locations, including: Bovey Tracey Post Office, Brimley Post Office, Heathfield Post Office, Bovey Tracey Information Centre, Bovey Tracey Primary School, St Catherine's Primary School, Bovey Tracey Library, the Riverside doctors' surgery and Bovey Town Hall Office.
The findings will be collated and released by the end of November.
